- Casparus di Jacobo Defranceschi (1743) — 1743, Svetvinčenat
«Casparus filius legitimus Jacobi Defranceschi, et Pascasia ejus legitimæ uxoris, amborum ex hac Parochia … baptizatus fuit a R.do D.no Martino Zolonda Capellano. Patrini fuerunt D.no Francisco Xaverio Profumo, et D.na Catharina filia Dominici Louicini ex Dignano. Natus die 1mo currentis.» — born 1 June, baptised 15 June 1743. ⚠ Two words of that were wrong here until 28 September 2026. His mother was published as Francisca and his godfather as «Dominicus Xaverii Bosponi». Re-read at 8×, the mother is Pascasia — the same word the register writes for her in the 1746 baptism of his sister, stroke for stroke — and the godfather is Francesco Saverio Profumo, chancellor of the parish, named in full one leaf away. Recorded on /corrections/. He was published here as «the child who sorts out his own father», then withdrawn, and the withdrawal rested on the misread name. The argument was that his mother Francisca overlapped Pascasia, so his father could not be pinned. There was never an overlap: the two names are one woman. His father is the Jacobo married to Pascasia — [h107], which this baptism now pushes back from 1746 to 1743. That does not make him the Jacobo of the 1737 twins. The parish still holds more than one man of the forename — see Jacobo de Franceschi of Svetvinčenat (fl. 1737–1752) — but the reason for doubting it is now the 1752–53 evidence, not this entry. His own act is unaffected and always was: both parents named in full, both «ex hac Parochia». (doc for the act; the father's identity among the Giacomos is inf.) Film 005497885, image 134 — Births 1709–1764 of Svetvinčenat, read on the plate 23 September 2026, re-read 28 September 2026. In no index anywhere. --- 28 September 2026 — he is not the Gasparo of the marriage register. A «Gasparo de Franceschi» witnesses three marriages at this castle — 6 November 1762, 9 July 1766 and 13 August 1766 — and the third names his father: «Gaspare de Franceschi q.m Ant.o ex hoc Castro», film 005497886, frame 55. His father was Antonio. This man's father was Jacobo, named in his own baptism entry, so he is excluded. (doc for the exclusion — it turns on a patronymic in the record, not on an estimate of age.) The appearances are filed with Gasparo Defranceschi, husband of Maria.

A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
