- Irena di Matteo Defranceschi (1752) — 1752, Svetvinčenat
«Irena filia legitima Matthæi Defranceschi, et Francisca ejus legitimæ uxoris ambo ex hac Parochia, nata die 11 currentis» — born 11 February, baptised 15 February 1752 at Svetvinčenat, by the Rev. Michael Cassanovich. Her godparents are Zorzi (?) Lanich and Maria, wife of Joannes Valentich. Film 005497885, image 161 — Births (Rođeni) 1709–1764 of Svetvinčenat, read on the plate 22 September 2026. In no index anywhere; it sits inside the fifteen-year hole 1738–1752 that neither the index nor any reading had touched. (doc.) --- 28 September 2026 — her entry became a control, and her family moved around her. Her own act settled someone else's. The «Francisca» in her baptism is written with the clerk's tall crossed F and narrow minims; set beside «Pascasia» at 7× the two share not one letterform. That is what proved the mother of Casparus 1743 was not Francisca — see /corrections/. Her father was dead by 9 February 1766, when her sister Helena married Mattio Santalezza of the Albona territory and the register called him «q.m Mattio de Franceschi». Irena was fourteen. Her own marriage, if it is in this volume, has not yet been reached — the sweep stands at 1767. Her mother now has a page: Francisca de Franceschi, wife of Matteo.

This person has not been written up in an essay yet — most often read straight off a register page that no index anywhere contains. What is known is at the top, and the pages linked above are where the finding sits.
A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
