Lambertina Defranceschi (Peschle)

Born 17 September 1786, and «Ex Volosca» — the town near Opatija that every printed life of her son names. Wife of Josephus Defranceschi, married 3 February 1807; mother of Carlo De Franceschi, the historian this archive leans on, and of nine others. Died 16 July 1863, aged 76 years 10 months. This archive had her only as «about 1786» with no day; the household book gives the date. Her son Aloysius was born at Volosca in 1832 — she went home to be delivered, which is how the «born in Poland» error was caught. The register's 77 is the priest rounding the 76 years 10 months this archive computes from her birth of 17 September 1786. (doc.) ⭐ And this entry did work beyond her own row. She was born Peschle and the register calls her Defranceschi — her husband's name. That single fact disproved a claim this archive had published two hours earlier about a Defranceschi in the Deprato house, which had assumed the register used maiden names. See corrections.
