What the archive knows

She is the best-attested woman of this household and until today she had no page of her own. Wife of a Jacobo de Franceschi, and named as such in four separate acts of the baptism register and one of the marriage register — which is more than most men of this parish can show. Her children, all baptised at Svetvinčenat — Casparus 1 June 1743, Martina Antonia 28 March 1746, Antonia 20 October 1747, and Victoria 25 March 1750. Four children in seven years. (doc for each.) 29 April 1753 the register names the couple in one phrase — «patrini fuerunt, Jacobus Defranceschi, et Pascasia ejus uxor» — husband and wife together, with no room for a clerk to attach her to the wrong man. That joint line is the firmest thing this archive holds about her. ⚠ Twice the register gets her husband wrong. «Pascasia uxor Caspari Defranceschi» on 16 December 1751 and again on 3 February 1752. She was never Caspar's wife — Caspar's wife is Maria, named as his six times between 1744 and 1749. The clerk wrote the wrong husband for one woman, fourteen months apart, and this archive can convict him because the right answer is known independently. 22 October 1765 she is a widow, and she marries again. «Domenico Calluzzi q.m Pietro hà contrato il matrimonio per verba de presenti con Pasqua Ved.a q.m Giacomo de Fran-/ceschi in 2di uoti» — film 005497886, frame 53, the marriage register, read at 2.5×. «Pasqua» is Pascasia, and this is the first time the archive has been able to date the death of any Jacobo of this castle: her husband is dead by 22 October 1765. (doc.) ⚠ Her name was misread here for five days. Until 28 September 2026 her first appearance — the 1743 baptism of Casparus — was published with the mother's name as «Francisca». It is Pascasia, proved against the same clerk's «Franciscus» on the facing leaf and his own «Pascasia» nine images on. See /corrections/. It moved her household's start from 1746 back to 1743. Born about 1720 on the arithmetic of her children and her remarriage — estimated, never printed as a fact.

No family is drawn for this name, and no record stands behind it. This archive has not placed it in a household and holds no indexed entry for it — the name reached this project through a chart, a narrative source or the family tree, and everything it does hold is below. The Register is where a record would appear if one turned up.
Identity here is by name, not by resolved individual. Where two people of one name appear in this archive they share this page, and it is for the reader to keep them apart — the surrounding text usually makes it obvious. Nothing here is new evidence; it is the same evidence, brought together.

This person has not been written up in an essay yet — most often read straight off a register page that no index anywhere contains. What is known is at the top, and the pages linked above are where the finding sits.

A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
